Meet Barend, a passionate cyclist and outdoor enthusiast from our home soil of Western Australia. With seven bikes in the household, cycling plays a central part of life for Barend and his family. His cycling escapades span everything from commuting and road cycling to mountain biking and bike packing - he truly has a bike for every occasion and adventure. To help setup his collection and keep it all organised, Barend chose Steadyrack and hasn't looked back.

Barend's Bike Lineup:

1. A Cube hardtail for cruising and trail riding.
2. A mountain bike for his wife.
3. An eBike for daily commutes.
4. A Specialized Roubaix carbon road bike for group rides, including Perth’s iconic River Loop.

Beginning in 2018, Barend started cycling to avoid the daily traffic during his commute to work. After participating in his first long-distance event - the Can4Cancer ride from Forster to Sydney - he was hooked. Ever since, cycling has become a core activity for Barend. He has participated in a variety of different Fondo events and often gives back to the cycling community as a volunteer for the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation. He also combines his passion for cycling with a meaningful cause by riding with the Knights of Suburbia, a group dedicated to raising awareness for mental health.

With a large assortment of bikes, Barend required a storage solution that would keep them all organised and accessible. He ended up building a wall in his shed dedicated to mounting all his bikes. Purchasing his first Steadyrack 10 years ago, Barend knew he made the right choice. Now, his shed is a functional and efficient storage space with his Classic, MTB and eBike Racks installed.

Not only is cycling a sport for Barend, it is a lifestyle that provides fitness, mental clarity, and a way to connect with others.
